El Salvador April 2016

Dr. Yee returned to El Salvador with another team from Global Health Outreach (GHO) to serve in the small town of Chalchuapa. We were joined by a team of student translators from a local private Christian school to help us communicate with the Spanish-speaking patients.

We converted the facility of Oasis Church into a healthcare clinic and provided medical and dental care for over 1600 patients over the week.

With the availability of a compressor and vacuum system, this was the first dental trip that Dr. Yee was able to do fillings and cleanings in addition to dental extractions.

We did house calls in the neighborhood to care for those who could not make it to the clinic.

At the request of many families, we prayed blessing and protection over their homes and families.

We held table meetings during meal times to discuss different issues regarding health care in third world countries.

Paletas (homemade popsicles) were refreshing treats after meals in a climate that rarely drops below 90 degrees during the day.

We never lose focus in providing care and love to the next generation.
